Post your Rear Mounted Battery Pics!

Different ways/locations of mounting the battery, on-off switches, jumper terminals...anything cool and different!

This setup wouldn't pass tech. though because it is not sealed off inside the car. I plan to change that later.

Mikec.86roc:

Put the box that 5 litre eater posted here in, it comes with a vent tube to vent to the outside then it will be legal and you won't need a sealed rear firewall setup.

Jeff

Edit:
Ooops Never mind the Moroso Box is too big. I tried to fit mine in the spare tire area and it won't fit.

That was custom made by "More Power Racing" in pawtucket Rhode Island. I think now they have relocated to somewhere in florida but I am not to sure. I plan on doing more cage work to it once I get it almost back together. I want to do a full halo and get it certified for 9 second passes. I don't think I will break 9's at all, but I want it just in case.

I was under the impression that for NHRA rules, the 2 battery hold-down bolts had to go through frame members either stock or added. I think the reason is that the thin sheet metal floor would tear out in an accident.
Any comments?

thats wat i thought to but i have mine mounted the same way and have 4bolts through the flore and 2 3/8 bolts for the battery that go through the flore and have a 3"x 8" pice of 10 gage steel on the outer side that the 3/8 rod goes through and the tech guys pass me. but i will probably never race at a national event so i should be ok. tech at local tracks isnt that strict.
