well my friend traded his 2000 gt today for a 93 astro with a lt1. At first I could not figure out what he was thinking I mean come on, but then i saw c5 wheels and the sound this thing has some serious head work done to it. anyway he let me drive it it suprised the dog pooh out of me. spun all the way threw second without a shiftkit 373's. i will try to get pic up here soon. let me know what you guys think.

I saw your thread in the engine swap forum.

He traded a mustang gt for an astro van??

The owner of the garage I have do some work for me had a custom Astro at one point with a pretty wild 350 in it... I could never figure it out... He still has pictures of it, and it was two tone white and PINK. It also had some kind of removable top so it was a convertable astro. Wierd ****.

Why again did he trade his mustang for a van?

While I tend to prefer chevy.... I do like the 4.6 in the mustang...especially with the 5 speed.. Even the auto wasn't that bad.

It would take one mean sbc to outrun the 4.6 when considering how heavy the astro is... I'm sure there are other reasons involved...rear mattress maybe? More room for stereo... hehe
