4th Gen Window Regulator Assembly in a 3rd Gen

I want to get rid of the scissor like window regulator assembly thats in my 3rd gen camaro. I don't like them because they are free floating windows. Is it possible to put in a 4th gen camaro window track/regulator assembly in a third gen? I don't like the fact that the only "track" for the window is the weatherstripping. Any advice would be great

4th gen window regulators are about the same. Scissor-like also. The whole 4th gen door window setup is pretty much the same, just different locations for stuff. Do the windows seem like they have a lot of play? You sure you're not missing parts?

I'm not missing parts, I just don't like how the weatherstripping acts as a guide for the window. It seems like it does'nt seal very well.

Mine have a lot of play... if my windows are not all the way up and I close the door I can hear them shake/bounce around.

That isnt very good is it...

Not really good but i think it could be the seals at the top of the door, where it meets the window or the tracks that the window regulator is on might be loose.

take off the door panel and tighten any loose nuts you can find.
