battery tray

any ideas on where one can find one for a 1986 iroc and what welding one should use to weld it in?

whats so wrong with yours?

just weld a piece of metal down and secure your battery, nothing special needed.

never thought of that but its around 80% rusted through...

cut it out, or grind it away and just do what i said. i dont think you will find a new one for sale, unless someone is kind enough to cut theirs out for you. maybe someone in your area with a parts car.

battery tray is beyond simple to fabricate, particularly if you can access a box and pan brake.

The part that requires a bit of planning and thought is what you want to do for a battery hold down.

go to summit or jegs and buy a battery box or relocation kit. not to expensive and looks good.
