Re: 85 firebird headlight options
well, i can't open the links (my high school blocked the websites). but i know there is a thread on here where a guy put the camaro fixed style headlights on the firebird. the whole bumper has to be replaced. i don't know if he just used a camaro bumper or not (i would assume so, it would be easier). personally i don't like the look, but i will give credit where credit is due.

Hmm, maybe its just me, but I'm a bit queasy about the ebay lighting solution.
Why are you wanting to get away from flip ups? Bad motor or just want to go with a different look?
if your willing to do a little work, I'm sure you could swap out the front bumper and headlight assembly from a camaro and go with that setup. I'd trust it more than ebay headlights anyways.

That'd be fairly easy really. You'd just remove all the firebird specific stuff on the front (headlights, front bumper, turn signals) so that your just down to the mounting point on the front end, and the wires. Then go take all of that stuff off a camaro and transplant. Both are F-bodies, so assuming you take off the whole front bumper assembly and headlights, I'd assume the camaro stuff would mount right back on.

Re: 85 firebird headlight options
you should just sell the Firebird and buy a Camaro... The Camaro bumper will not fit a Firebird because the angles are different. The Firebird's front end is much more scooped than the Camaro. When I first got my Trans Am I wasn't big on the flip up lights, but now I love them... there's nothing cooler than turning your car on at night pulling out and turning the lights on and just see the headlight beams flip out straight ahead... Do a search, many people have done pop-up-delete headlights...
