Re: My Fabrication and Build...

Ive been making some progress lately. I decided against using Dzus rails. they are a PITA and take forever to get them all locked in. plus ppl always want to help put your hood on and off and its to easy for them to slip with a tool and scratch the paint. Instead I went with the Aerocatch latches. The Cervini hood is a "lift off" its surprisingly heavy and doing it by yourself is NOT recommended. So I put the rear pins into some hinges that lock down... Also got the new PT88 installed, buttoned up the power steerings, Changed out the LS1 PCM to a FAST XFI/XIM setup, and picked up some new wheels. The wheels really changed the entire look of the car, I don't think I have ever seen these on a thirdgen, they are BMW fitment but I have 120.65mm to 120mm hubcentric/wheel centric adapters in the front and I'm getting the rear axles in 120mm. I know alot of ppl run the 120mm on the 120.65 spacing but im not sold on it and the adapters for the front were only 150 and axles are cheap insurance... to much time and money in there to risk a wheel stud issue.

I still have some buttoning up to do on the fast wirings and I'm waiting for the XFI box to come back from FAST as the CAN ports on it were not receiving a signal from the XIM box... with any luck it'll be seeing some street driving next week and then it'll be time for paint!!

Here where I'm at so far!

Re: My Fabrication and Build...

Forgot to update this thread? Last friday was stupid frustrating... Boost controller started acting up and when we got it figured out the damn header blew out the ultra copper silicone! Uuugghhh so back to the drawing board to get the header to seal properly. The headers were milled after they were welded so I know they are true... I'm blowing out between the middle two primaries.... Other than that crap it pulls pretty good made a bunch of aborted pulls trying to get the boost controller fixed making 600 by 5k rpms and 15degrees of timing on 93..

Here's a vid of one of the pulls

Re: My Fabrication and Build...

How do did you bend the pipes in the engine bay?

Sorry if this was already answered.

Hate to be that guy but where do you get your metal from to fabricate plates and pipping? Sick build man.
