I love it! I had this idea about 4 years ago and never got a chance to do it. The military keeps me far from my baby now. Good job on it!

Re: lets see some pics of your custom mods and/or fabrication

Here are some pictures of the power steering cooler I installed.
I just re-sealed the power steering pump, and I wanted to get rid of the bulky factory "cooler" (extra long return line) that was always getting in my way when I had to do any work on the front of the engine from the bottom.

I had an old transmission cooler off of a wrecked car lying around, so I welded up a frame and used that. I used 300 psi hydraulic hoses covered with wire loom for the lines. To get them to fit, I had to cut a notch in the front air dam (I'm using a Camaro air-dam on my Firebird).

The cooler looks a little beat-up, but it doesn't leak.

Re: lets see some pics of your custom mods and/or fabrication

Mocked up a bracket for the 4th gen wiper fluid bottle today. Used some flat steel and square tube that I had laying around. It drops the the bottle down from upper radiator support 5 inches and is 22 inches wide. Its pretty solid once its bolted down. It will be a few inches below the stock "cover" that will be in place once complete. Undecided if I will put a hole in cover and put a riser in washer bottle to rise it up flush or just leave it hidden and remove the cover whenever I need to top off the fluid.

My coolers: fabbed the oil and tranny bottom bracket out of perforated steel. Used the holes for the air dam for bolts, painted black. P/S is an insulated electrical clamp. Not pretty but functional.

Im about to put a camaro stock spoiler on mine. Came with the lid i just got from a member here. I have a fiberglass mold of a stock wrap around wing on mine now but i put an LED light bar in the wing and deleted my 3rd brake light on my stock wing for a cleaner look.

What is the duckbill wing?

Here is a rear view of a duckbill wing on a thirdgen firebird. Im not sure if they are actually called duckbill wings, thats just what ive always called them.

Im thinking about doing it on my car and wanted to see a side view and see if anyone knew how to make it or where to buy it.

I don't know, not diggin the look of that spoiler on that TA, gotta see more pics with different angles. I actually like the hi rise Camaro spoiler on a TA if the car is lower with different wheels than stock.

my front chin spoiler is already started and i have a thread on here already for that . for the rear, all i can say is i cut the bottom half off of the bumper . as for the side skirts, those are still in the thought process.

it sure would look slick if the gauges were mounted on abs plastic to match the rest of the interior.

like the shifter decals.

Any of you metal guys have custom aluminium door sills? I want something more durable than the crappy stock plastic pieces. Would love some custom made pieces.

I was going for a mix of a stock wing and a drag wing style. Has same lines as stock just more slope and sticks out same amount as the bumper to give some balance to the rear end.

The box really didnt cost anything at all for me. I just had some fiberglass mat and spray paint laying around. I would say it you had to go out and buy everything it would be around 20 to 30 bucks.

stuff needed:
cardboard to make mold
cover with duck tape to act as mold release
2 to 3 square feet of fiberglass mat
hours of time to spend with filler to get it looking smooth
some rattle can primer and paint

Hope this helps for anyone hoping to do it themselves. alot cheaper than buying one...

I am closing it off. the wing will get double sided taped to the decklid along the front. I am worried about the slope of the wing giving me too much downforce. I plan to take this car to road courses later on so i dont want my front end gettin light under fast speeds. It will make it hard to wash under the wing but i think it looks better that way.

frequent on here alllll the time but dont ever post. curious if anyones ever done this. the passenger side is set.. the drivers is not.. why its so off in the pic. took a little cutting and grinding of the light to get it right and fit. still might move it around a bit. planning to make a filler piece for the center.

Huh that's...unique. I don't really care for those tail lights at all but the fact that you could do it and make them look pretty good is awesome.

They're stock tailights off an 03 or 04 lancer. They should look better when they're molded in there a little better.. and the center piece is fabbed up. if anything i can always throw the stock lights back on it. I just wanted to see if i could do it.. or if itd been done. But really the most annoying thing was filling in the holes from the three piece wing, especially since i have no welding skill to speak of.. just real handy with bondo and a hand sander.
