Def check out the build thread, tons of cool stuff.
But yeah I guess I could put one in it, just didn't want to get the KnightRyder look, too much, although all the kids in area already call it that...lol... but does look more aggressive IMO.

I will check it out, you got a link? Over here, none of the kids know what Knightrider is, they just stop and stare when I drive past, with looks on their faces like wow, whats that thing lol. Older folks who remember knightrider yell it at me as I pass them.

Just hard to try to change a TA to look completely different so a GM guy knows its different with out having it no longer look like a TA.

Picked this one on the way to the crusher last year. Plenty of parts made for it now. Lcarbs, adjustable LCA's, adjustable torque arm, sub-frame connectors, wonder Bar, heat extractor Hood, silver base with candy purple 95 Z28 disc brake rear. Dropped 2" Front 1.5" Rear on 20" rims. 2 12's in the storage in the trunk, components in the doors, amps in the side compartments. FAST kit 302000 wiring and ecm on tpi intake. Starting on the interior now.

Not sure why the phone made the powder coat look blue, it's actually candy purple.

I don't want to be "that guy", but the welds on those LCAs look kind of sketchy to me. Just trying to help, be safe man.

There's two layers welded on each weld, but I have messed up things before lol. They have been doing good for a few months now though. However our insight did make me put it on the lift and check it, no cracks anywhere but I will keep an eye on it. Thanks.

the welds look very cold from the pic. one lca has a jam nut for the rod end and the other does not. did you use tube inserts in the end of the pipe, or did you just tap threads into the tubing? also, what size threads are on the rod ends?

Here are some pic's of my Trans Am original Fog lights I rebuilt. Was cheap and easy way but looks 100% better. Wanted to keep the original shape. Sweet...

They are 3/4" rod ends, and those were only in there for powder coating.
Just tossed the cracked plastic fins, flipped the hood over and cut out between the support underneath, then just cut the metal fins, welded them in place and ground the welds down smooth.

How did you do that shift light??? can you make a thread to explain a bit?
so everyone will stop asking
buy one of these
https://www.sparkfun.com/categories/22
program it to flash at set rpms and handle the display of the numbers
have a switch or a sender at each gear position so that it will work properly
use the tach for the rpm signal
the installation should be the easiest part, remove cigarette lighter and its socket. install your new franken shift light that you made yourself
here is a link to the creators thread showcasing it, if you dont know how to do it then
ACCEPT THAT YOU WONT GET ONE, as far as i know he doesnt sell them and i really doubt any of you are about to go make yourselves one, so STOP ASKING ABOUT IT.
.......... also use the ****ing search function

I needed to make a lower profile hood scoop for my Chump Camaro. I had some .040" Aluminum so I made a 3 piece simple low pro Z style hood.

Here it is painted and at the track.

Re: lets see some pics of your custom mods and/or fabrication
I replaced all the burnt tail light lenses from the Shop fire last year with some more Aluminum. I used 2 LEDs from Amazon for the Stop/tail lights. Didn't want to waste another set of Tail lights or pay the money for them also. The LEDs worked great at night 2 weeks ago, very bright and easy to wire up.

I did paint the center section before the race weekend.
Also did the aero strips across the roof and back window. Its just for looks plus they were fun to fab up.

Re: lets see some pics of your custom mods and/or fabrication
I've been tinkering with my project car that will ultimately be a 77 T/A:

In particular, the suspension that I came up with. I'm really liking the 4 corner air bags:

All that got me thinking about the Camaro, so I've just recently got to work on that too. First I made a strut mount that ended up enabling the front tires to droop an additional 3.5":

Surprised it only raised up the bottomed out height up about 1.5", comparing stock vs. modified:

It looks pretty wacky all drooped out, but I'm thinking traction will not be a problem:

I then went and swapped in some air bags, borrowed from the t/a project of course. I'm working on correcting some geometry issues as well by moving the control arm mount, and will be flipping the tie rod ends to the top side of the knuckles:

Somewhere in between all that, I drove the Camaro and ride quality feels unchanged by the air bags.

Re: lets see some pics of your custom mods and/or fabrication
I've done a lot of mods to mine over the years, heres one of the last ones. A Cheetah Turbo action reverse pattern shifter.
I had to make a base plate to fix it to. I have the transbrake connected, but have a extra lock switch fitted behind the trunk switch to activate it. This also serves as the switch to operate the back up lights.
I like the way it looks, 80s shifter in an 80s car

x2. need to be careful doing stuff like this, as what seems to be harmless can turn out to be fatal.

Re: lets see some pics of your custom mods and/or fabrication
I was looking at the strut movement with that plate the other day. The stock mount doesn't seem to have any give in it either. There is a ball bearing there, but that only lets the shaft of the strut not have to spin when steering. I noticed the strut moves quite a bit because of steering, but again I see no allowance for this in the factory mount either. Seems like even the factory mount should have a spherical bearing.
I've also since then got a 10 degree reamer and flipped the tie rod ends. That worked out very well, and there is zero bump steer.
