Re: 1,000+ hp 1LE F2 build
No that is fwhp . At 1400 hp the heads start to become a restriction and to keep the engine under the stock hood I cant run a 18 or 15 degree head so that is what I am limited to. 1500 hp is really leaning on this combo and safe is 1400 hp .I would assume that the car has 1200 rwhp leaning on it using the 20% rule for drivetrain loss .

Sucks about the fire.... Was a sick looking car and I'm sure it will be again! Glad to see the carb gone and FI in the works Also, the turbos should WAY out-perform the blower, but I'm sure you already know that..

I was never really down with the carb but I bought it that way and it really ran great. It ran 11.60's on the motor with a 315/35/17 M/T drag radial and 6.70's on a 200 shot in the 1/8 mile with the same tires. I had already been collecting parts when the fire happened. The F2 was just too archaic and I couldn't run A/C so I make the switch to twins and never looked back. Thanks for all the comments..

Your build is going well !! I am sure you will be very happy when you have it all complete. I have stayed with the F2 on my car and tweaked it some for this season. Last year it was just starting to come around and it broke the AFR 227 casting This year I upgraded to the AFR 245 casting which is a little more solid and am looking forward to getting some testing in soon with the new F2 engine I had done.

Thank you, Making a car just the way you want it is a hard task but rewarding as well. Once the car starts taking shape like yours is the anticipation of the final product becomes very exciting. Enjoy that feeling as you earned it!

Beautiful work! Make a skidplate for that oilpan!
I'm really glad you went turbo and plan on driving this thing a lot. You cant hear a radio over an F2 setup... Haha hope to see you at some True Street style races! That thing is going to be a monster! Goodluck and BE CAREFUL when you get it running.

Nothing post worthy. I have amassed some parts but other than that I am just holding on until the economy makes room for my toy. Thanks for checking in...
