Re: Custom battery relocation (pics)

Is there a special reason for moving the battery to the firewall? I think it looks good and nicely mounted. Did it help you with the cables going to starter, keeping them from the header heat?

Re: Custom battery relocation (pics)

OK looks nice I have been toying with the idea of going to the back or trunk of mine with the battery. I don't know it could help with traction a little.

Re: Custom battery relocation (pics)

Many foreign cars have the battery in that position-
mercedes benz and the like... Will get some weight off
the nose...
i relocated my batt to the spare tire well-much less
hostile location for a battery and i needed to make room
for an air tank(air horns)

Re: Custom battery relocation (pics)

that was a pretty cool idea to do on the cheap. the only thing i thought of, was it reminded me of the old datsun 280z. i think it was that model car? but when the battery gets mounted there, you need to watch that your framerail just under the battery doesnt rot out like your battery tray. im pretty sure it was the old 280zs that were famous for rotten frames on that side from the battery. just my 2 cents.

Re: Custom battery relocation (pics)

Why is your oil dipstick zip tied to your pcv valve?
