I am currently working on one that uses the the tpi throttle body. still waiting on some stuff to really get working on it. Check it out on the v6 board.

It's not super set in stone yet, just an idea I had going on. I have a guy making a bottom flange for me to get started. It might not flow a whole lot better than the stock one besides getting rid of the sharp bends but other than that I think it looks decent.

You would for sure have to use 3.4 fuel rails or else it wont fit under the plenum

Re: looking for ideas and help for custom parts.

The stock TB isn't the bottleneck. If you don't like the FWD 3400 intake, then look at the 3100 version. Either way, A better-flowing intake manifold on ported iron heads is less results for more $ than just swapping the FWD aluminum heads and intake.

Yeah, I know that aluminum heads are alot better. I am just making this for a better looing and getting rid of the tight turns. I know the iron heads suck but i dont want to do a full top end swap right now.

Re: looking for ideas and help for custom parts.

Iron head ones yes. The aluminum ones no. need to swap out pistons or else you will have a crazy compression ratio.

Re: looking for ideas and help for custom parts.

seems like a lot of work and cash outlay for something that will still be slower than a stock 305... it should handle pretty sweet, tho..

Re: looking for ideas and help for custom parts.

I would start at the bottom of the engine, tranny, suspension and axle for performance before the intake. If the engines already built up, yeah, hit the intake, but getting more air in on a stock engine will make a marginal difference if any. It will probably kill torque a little if it's too ported out.
