VSS on front wheel

Re: VSS on front wheel
I'm looking into doing this for when I run MS3 Pro Evo or Ultimate for traction control capabilities. You should be able to mount an internal toothed wheel inside the brake rotor and mount a sensor off of the spindle or brake caliper bracket if you have the fourthgen or newer calipers. I've also read that some members were able to use the back of studs as trigger points but the resolution on a five point wheel vs a 32/64/128 wheel would give slower response.

I was looking at the S10 hubs that FlynBye sells but gave up on the idea after 2 months of trying to contact him.

I've heard that idea floated before but I've never seen any pictures of a finished product or heard members post that they have done it. I looked on his website and I didn't see anything about it, can you post a link to his product or a thread discussing it? It still sounds like having custom made (still probably only $30), internal toothed ring for the rotor would be easier/cheaper but I'd like to know more about if someone has experimented with an ABS hub.

This thread has the link in Post #1.

I think the sensor mounts to the S10 dust cover. I never got past the point where that thread ended.
If I had traction control then I'd go back to street tires for sure and have some fun cornering. Right now the drag radials are my insurance policy against getting out of control at freeway speeds. But drag radials act goofy in corners and start to chunk if you get them hot. Not meant for anything except a quick bit of acceleration and then let the tires cool down.

QwikTrip,
What are you seeing in that part listing that makes you think this would fit our cars? Is it "common knowledge" (that I missed out on) that the hubs are the same between F-body and S-truck? I'm not seeing any indication of that in the listing. Is the part under a list of components FOR 3rd gens., and thus it's implied it would work for us?
This is an interesting idea. I just picked up a 4th gen housing for 4 channel ABS and was thinking....what would it take to make a functional 3rd gen ABS system...so this is good timing.
