Red 91 Trans Am GTA for sale; black leather interior; approx. 73,000 miles; could be used as daily driver. Car is being sold as is. No warranties express or implied. Car is not perfect as it is 20 years old. But it's a nice driver and looks great for its age. There are a few little things to be fixed. Power everything and it all works except bright headlights sometimes do not come on and right signal light is intermittent.

Service engine soon light also sometimes comes on then goes off (so probbaly do to emissions faulty 02 sensor?). Car has new Firehawk tires all around (less than 1000 miles on tires). New exhaust put on last year. SLP runners installed in November. Original runners come with car as well.

$6000. Car is in garage in Illinois. Pictures are attached. More pics available. If you're looking for an unmolested 91 GTA to make into a show car with a little tlc or just use for the daily commmute this is it. Thanks for looking.

So I haven't received any offers or even replies.

Is no one really interested or is the price off? I've seen these go for more and less on this board over the past couple of years. Typically ones that have been modified go for less and those with lower miles and pretty original like this one go for more.

Any ideas for other places to post? $7500 is not firm. I'd consider reasonable offers.

I would advertise it on CL and Ebay. It's a nice car it just needs better exposure.

The biggest issues I can think of are that you can buy an LS1 car for that...and the fact that nobody has money. So many ppl are still caught up in the LSX craze and don't respect the thirdgens. People just don't have money.

I agree with the LS cars taking the spotlight right now. However, low miled unmolested thirdgens are going to rise in price and people like me(who are going to be in the market soon for one) will not hesitate to pay the money for the nice ones.
I like this car and I would be an interested party if I was in my position to buy one.

give it some time, its only been for sale here a little over a day, and thats more money than the majority of the cheap, broke people on this board have. lol

It looks like a beautiful car, and if its as clean as it looks, and has NO rust issues, i dont see your price being totally unreasonable. Maybe a hair on the high side considering the economy, but not unreasonable.

You can try other places to advertise it, Craigslist can be a blessing, but you will also find a lot of window lickers who ask a billion question, waste your time and never had any intention of buying anything.

the 91-92's are desirable cars, 92 more so since they didnt make that many, so im sure somebody will make an offer sooner or later.

I forgot to mention in my original post that the car is a 350. I also have a pair of SLP tri-y headers (no y-pipe though but one could easily be made) and an SLP two on the left exhaust (muffler and tips only) that I purchased from other members on this board and was planning to install on the car. I also have a spare brand new left tri-y header from SLP without AIR. These pieces (still in boxes) would all be included with the car.

i agree with some of these guys... give it a lil time.. My dad sold his GTA Vert for $7500. and it had 275,000 miles on it.. ( yes 275k miles) the car was pristine and all original.. Only thing that showed any wear was the driver side seat.

one word of advise. if you do go the craiglist root. I have sold third gens in the past on craiglist. watch out for joyriders. I had a few fellows just stop in for a joyride with no intent on buying it:make them show you the money. driving: the other is don't let anyone push you around. I had a few times people would show up with 2 of there buddy's trying to knock the price down. your the boss you make the price. buy the way its a nice car. very clean.

Sorry, didn't see you post until now. I don't check the website often. The a/c blows cold and the interior is in good condition. No punctures in the seats. No rips in the carpet. I had the headilner profesionally re-attached so no sagging. General wear marks on front seats for a car with 73,000. But overall very good condition.

I suspect i will be in the market for another one this summer. I'm starting a new job and if the work schedule holds out like it has been there for over two years, I'll have some cash for another 3rd gen. That is a lot like what I will be looking for. My son is going to need a car, but I haven't decided if I would buy it for me (for a daily driver) and sell my 2011 mustang. 6K is my limit for one of these cars - but it has to be in really, really great shape as there are just so many of them out there.

It doesn't disappoint. Even unrestored it turns heads. Definitely an easy daily driver. It will likely still be sitting in the garage for some time as nobody drives it except for me when I go back a few times per year to Illinois to visit my family.

Nope. It's the stock 700r4 auto that came mated to the 350 TPI in these model years.

Thanks for all the replies and interest. All the time this message string has been pending gave me a chance to really reflect on whether I wanted to let go of the car or keep. I was on the fence for a while, but last weekend I saw another GTA on the road (and it looked nice!). Just seeing it convinced me to keep mine as you just don't see that many these days, especially in nice condition. So... again, thanks for all the replies and interest. Consider this message string concluded. Off to start the restoration process to make it like brand new!
