Wanted: Manual Trans Am in/near VA

Well I've never posted but joined this forum a few months when a guy referred me here on my search for a daily driver Trans Am. Hello to all!!

What I want:
Manual transmission Trans Am. Good daily driver shape. Not interested in camaros, thanks.

What I want to spend:
$4-7,000 - At these prices i'm expecting a turn-key nice Daily driver. Please no "just needs new <doors, quarters="" engine="" trans="">"

Where I'm located:
In southwest VA in Blacksburg, VA to be exact. (40 min from Roanoke, VA).

The closer to me, the more I can spend on the car (and the less you get to hear me begging to drop the price due to any travel costs to get the car )

extraneous preferences (not required):
350 TPI engine
50-80k miles
t-tops!!!
black or red exterrior

How to reach me
e-mail:
mikediaz[AT]vt.edu replace the [AT] with @
PM me
respond here

Thanks all!!
Mike

$5K for my 88. it's not a T/A, but it still looks pretty good.
It has miles on it though, about 120K runs strong, 5th gear synchro is worn so you have to shift slowly into 5th.

Zepher, your car has an awesome stance/appearance. You should have no problem selling it.

Trans was rebuilt 1 year before I put it in my car. It came from an my firends 88 GTA. I am guessing it has about 30K miles on it now since it's been 3 years. engine hasn't been rebuilt and still runs strong.
Rear end was rebuilt last year, new Eaton Posi, all new bearings, T/A cover, new 4.10 gears, it has probably 8K miles on it now. Moser Axles don't come with the car unless I buy them from my friend. I bought the rear off of a friend when he was trading in his Firebird for a WS6 and he didn't want to trade the car in with the new rear.

my only reason to sell it is to build another just like it, but a different color and so I can order lots of parts and assemble the car. It feels like christmas when UPS comes with car parts for me.

Mike, if it's coming down to a Bonneville or TA, buy Zepher's TA above! The car looks awesome, and is in Virginia. Don't let the miles bother you too much, these cars last a long time if maintained properly. My Formula has 137k on the clock and runs great every single day.

Thanks for the words of advice Bull and thanks for the pics/info Zephyr but I reall want to get something with at the very most 90k miles and thats at most.

This is a really nice weekend around here and I'd be more than willing to take a nice up-to 120mile trip out in my '65 bonne to look at any cars worth considering but nothign has surfaced...

I'm very close to eastern TN border, and very close to northern NC border, also close to SE border of WV Anyone????
