Hi there,
Group buys are the best way to setup projects with us. Do you think there would be more then 20 ppl interested for each product? If so i can setup a sign up page where ppl enter their name. Once we reach 20 ppl, then we collect 10 small down payments from those 20 ppl. Once those are received we ask for a set of oem lenses, and we can start the project!

I will need pictures and sizes of the lenses to provide you with a quote. Other information such as, how the lens is attached to the housing, and if a duplicate housing will be needed, is also good info for us to have.

Hey there,
Once our molds are done we can make lenses in any color.

The reason for the group buy is to cover the price of the molds we will produce. Its also to assure that we will sell a minimum amounts of lenses so we can make a profit. For those reasons we cannot make some lenses ahead of time.


Ill be waiting to hear from you. Let me know if you have any other questions. From the design of the lenses it would be important to find out if the lenses come appart easily.

If the lenses come off the housing that is good. Are ppl prepared to spend the time to remove the oem lenses and attach the new lenses?

We dont need 20 ppl to hand over 200$. We just need 20 ppl to say, if the quality of the product is up to par, i would definatly buy a set. As for knowing if they will look good or not, i can do some mockups in photoshp that will give a real good idea of how it will look.

Once we find 20 ppl interested, then we will ask 10 ppl to give a small down payment.

We cannot make our molds and do some lenses to show ppl. What happens if nobody likes it? We invested all this money into making molds, and we will not be selling a single set. Its for that reason we cannot move foward without the group buy.

NOTE: THESE LENSES ARE STOCK TYPE LENSES, NOT COMPLETELY CLEAR SEE-THROUGH BUT MADE OF THE SAME MATERIAL AS STOCK LENSES. SO THESE WONT LOOK LIKE 'RICE' TAILS..NO CHROME.

They could modernize them a bit, but no over the top ***** styles.

 

How do you mean modernize?

I feel what they will do is make exact replicas but without the DOT numbers and KEEPING the L and R for left and right.

How about a price, how can you ask us to commit on buying these without seeing them, or how much they are gonna be? I'm interested, but I need more info.

 

Basically with 5+ people we can get these done for $200 each. With $15 added for color. Like smoked or red.

They dont need FULL payment, just a small down payment from 10 of 20 people so they can make molds and get them started. So you could actually be one that sits out utnil the finished product.

They ask this because what if they make them and no 1 likes them, at least they will have down payments from those who will purchase the product.

I just want to finally have a REAL CLEAR TAIL LIGHT MOD...that all can buy.

This looks massively cool... we've all been complaining for years about not having any choices for aftermarket lights and about the colors of our grid lights and so forth... it's time for people to put their money where their mouth is.

I cant commit yet, but when it comes time to put down a deposit, I may be willing to sign up then to get this show rollin. Because if you can pull this off, it'll be a pretty unique thing.

I dont know why they'd bother with the RS/Berlinetta tails though? I'd expect everyone here to want the grid lights...

This isnt the official purchase price but more along the lines of what it will be for a set.

 

id be in for either all red or smoked pair. bieng able too see the light threw then will be no problem right? i dont want anyone rear ending me are bieng pulled over.

 

Are they also thinking about doing some with Firebird/Trans Am styles, or are they only doing them for the Camaros?

 

Oh yeah no problem. Even the dark black version lets light through, not as much but it does....kind of like nightshade, even if you go super dark it will still allow light to go through.

Except these arent nightshaded but actual NEW LENSES WITHOUT THOSE DOT NUMBERS and in whatever color you want.

Right now I only have them looking into the camaro grid pattern as no 1 wants RS style tails.

As for getting the TA firebird tails done. We will need 20 people who will be interested. Then 10 people willing to throw in a down payment AFTER the 20ppl limit is reached. Then after they get the down payments some people will need to send in sets of their lenses..maybe 2-3 sets. They make the molds, make the new lenses, then all those who payed the Down payment pay the rest and get their NEW lenses. All others who did not go in on the DP will need to purchase the lenses fully.

Down payments will only be asked for AFTER we get 20 people to the list, then we have 10 people send DP's and they will need maybe 2-3 sets of lenses to make the molds, then they make the molds and start production.

Ill post back when they have the page made. PRODUCTION WILL GO AS QUICK AS THEY GET DOWN PAYMENTS. So the longer we take the longer they take, as I wont be able to do a DP until after x-mas....so dont think we have to rush this...we CAN take our time.

i like them but the 200 is a bit high for me considering i have to send them lights. glad to see the product though. will get some spring for sure!

 

Out of the 20 people needed they only need 2-3 sets...Im sending mine out so all we need is 2 more sets (if they even need 3 sets) and that will be out of the way.

 

I have a set (of grids) to send in as well.

She asked me a while ago about a sign up page. I said no because there wasnt interest and..well, I didnt know you couldnt EDIT POSTS after a couple days, so my tracking kind of back-fired. Anyway I sent an e-mail to see if we can get that page so it will be easier to keep track of as our names will be posted.

 

I like the smoked peronally. Funds are low for me right now so I will keep a watch on this thread but I am definetly interested.

 

I am going to get this thread deleted, so I can make a new one and clean this up as its ONLY for the GRID STYLE tail light. We have a sign up page now so check it out while you can.

Even if you guys don't want to buy now or give a deposit please sign up to show interest so these can get made. Once they are made you can buy them whenever you want. If we don't show interest they will slam the door on our market.
PS.I assume it doesn't automatically update the interest as it says "0" but I know I signed up.
