91 TTA

is there such an animal?
I know a guy that bought this car new, he doesn't really know what it is. he knows it's a V6, he says it's fast. it's white. I looked at the car, I can't get the vin right now though. the car is white the outside badging is in gold, but it looks different than a normal GTA or Trans am. inside there is a big TURBO on the dash. also I think the car had 25th ann badges on it at one time. this guy knows nothing about it, or cars in general. but he is thinking of selling it.
ok guys what is it?
thanks
biker

Or it could be a 91 Firebird with a 3.1 and some graphics that some kid applied to it.

The only third generation TTA is the mighty 1989 Pontiac Turbo Trans-AM. There were only 1555 made. All are white. It is basically a GTA with a tan interior and a different engine. They do mid 13's stock. Truly amazing cars.

So a 1991 TTA is either a custom job or something some punk put on the car that doesn't exist.

Strange, I think I remember exactly the same question asked here a few months ago, but I can't find the thread. Anyways, there's no such thing as a 1991 TTA.

/edit: found it.

If its a 91, then no, its not a factory TTA. If its an 89 its possible. But more importantly, does it actually have a turbo? or is it just stickered?

I've seen a lot of POS thirdgens with IROC/TA badging but they really have V6's.

Look under the hood, and see if there is a turbo.

People just put emblems from all kinds of crap on their vehicles. For example I have seen Trans-AM's marked Z28 and V-TEC.

The latest thing I saw was a Chevy truck with the F-150 "Sport" logo on the bed where the F-150 "Sport" logo would appear on a F-150. Then it had a V-TEC logo underneath that.
