Heartattack 82 Pace car.
First I want to thank Tom & Ron for telling me to get the Indy Pace car book. I picked it up tonight after our car club meeting.
After I got home I was flipping through the 82 pace car information. Stopping at the Disc brake page that listed the Cars that they have found with Disc brakes. Glaced over the 3rd VIN listed with out noticing it. Went back to show my husband & stopped at it & Checked the VIN on my title of my 82 Pace car & I stopped breathing. My car is listed in the book 3rd down & one of the 21 cars that they found by 1992 with 4 Disc brakes. After looking at my husband it was Decided that I will most likely never sell the car & it will go back TOTALLY STOCK & showed as one of the few with this option.
Now I need to get a hold of the histroy of this car & found the story of this car.
Now my Heart is back in my chest & i can breath better I need to start checking out more information.
Once again Thanks Tom & Ron.

It is a great book and I recommend it for anyone that actually has a Pace Car or is thinking of buying one. There is a lot of good info in it.
Tammy; congrats on the find. I find whenever I get to a "sticking" point with one of my cars, something like that seems to happen. An example; I was ready to part out one of my Pace Cars and then stumbled across the build sheet under the passenger seat. It has some pretty rare options so the car will most likely be restored rather than stripped.
Good luck with the restoration...

Well I also did a CarFax on this car & found out that we are the 3rd owner. This car has been in Tx (first location of the car)Then Iowa, then to Nebraska, back to Iowa, Then to Oregon, then to Washington.
I have to find out what the Accident in Nebraska was about I have the case number but I dont know if they would have kept records for that far back. It happen in 89

Congrats Tammy,
Kinda like winning the lottery!
I'm getting my car ready for the Camaro Nationals here in Niagara Falls June 14 & 15.
Tom, those parts you helped me with are in Canada now so I have to go get them. If I hurry, I can install them this weekend for the show. That guy from Ohio is coming to our show also, I'm curious as to which of his cars he brings. That mint 82 PC would be nice to see again.

Thanks Ron yea its great even though they did a miss print on the Vin in the book They put a 2nd A instead of the 8 but oh well.
We looked at the rotors the other day & they need to be replaced. But I am going with the Shucks style ones fo rthe car. I am NOT paying $95.00 Each for the fronts or $125 each for the rears.
When I can go out & get seats for $45 & $95 from schucks.
We are going to need to replace the Drivers side Lower hing on the door as well (which we picked up from a junk yard)
So we are starting to work on her. Right now we just need time.
Every weekend from here to Sept is booked out with car shows, Dragracing or just car club events. & thats not included in some family events as well.
Wonder how many 82 Pace cars I am going to go see at HOT AUGS NIGHTS in Reno this year.

Ron I would love to make the show but the wife has plans for me this weekend. I ordered some POR15 and plan on doing the entire engine compartment if I can get some time after all the "honey do's"...
Good luck and let us know how it turns out.
