LOL, this is 1 of the funniest posts I've ever seen.

The 82-92 F-Bodies are the Third Generation F-Bodies, just as the 67-69's are the 1st Generation.

Its the 3rd total overhaul on body styling

Gen 1 = 1967 - '69
Gen 2 = 1970 - '81
Gen 3 = 1982 - '92
Gen 4 = 1993 - '02

There's something to be said for all F-cars. They all are special American sporting machines!

Well, I really like first gen's, I love thirdgen's, and I can stand 4th gens because of the creature comforts and the power (hate the body), but man I can't stand 2nd gens... Maybe because I grew up to close to santa ana (cali), but the people around here sure have not made them put a good impression in my mind. I will probably never own a 4th gen, but will definetely own several more thirdgen's, and at least one 69 camaro.

I love the 2nd gen cars... I've always wanted a '70-73 Z/28 myself. I just love the look of those cars... not quite as clean as a '67-69 or '82-84, but I love the look.

The only thing i don't particularly like about them is that they weigh about 800lbs MORE than a 1st or 3rd gen... and about 200lbs more than a 4th gen.

if you dont like first gens, then you dont like camaro's or cars for that matter!!!

First gen had very basic, but sleek and muscular lines, 2nd gen had more of a european, italian roadster look at first, and then got a little ugly, 3rd gens where back to muscular sleek lines, and 4th gens... umm... yea... they had really good engines... the 5th gen should be the next step, not a retro first gen with a ls1... as much as we would all like the car thats in PHR this month, it aint gunna happen. I hope that when gm makes the 5th gen, that they are original with the design. Muscular, sleek and basic... thats what sold the cars in the first place, but please GM no retro. thats my .02...

Third and 1st Gens are no doubt the best looking, (they have alot in common when u look at the way they are designed) Thirds especially. They always had that "I'm an American musclecar and a Ferrari/Lamborghini" image. I also want to get a 68 Camaro sometime to build up and really learn on by taking it apart and putting it back together, (I'd rather not mess with a Third like that and keep them perfect instead, but you gotta mod ) but the Third Gen is my Gen and will always be my favorite no matter what, nothing like them. I have to have a Third, I need them!! 2nd Gens blah and 4th Gens forget about it. Still don't know what happened there, to both.

Camaros are the most popular musclecars ever. They have been involved in more things than any other and you'll always find them covered mostly in every non-brand focused car magazine. I just hope they get them right when they come back. Hopefully they'll look at the 80's and 60's cars and use them as the best examples.

I agree. 1st gens had a classic simple musclular look.
3rd gens were really sleek and futuristic, a timeless look way ahead of the period.
4th gen look was nothing special, just a sleek car with a really long sloped windshield but had some of the best drivetrains.
In my book 2nd gens were A-ok. Heavy, but

I like them all.

I agree. A lot of people don't like the looks of 2nd gens but tell me what looks bad about an '81 Z28 or a '78 Trans Am?

Wesdog, where in AR are you?
I know someone with an 11,800 mile Bandit '77 T/A.
Still has original tires. It is amazing!

I think that next to the 3rd gen cars the 70-73 Z/28's are the next most awesome cars made.
