weatherstripping?

hey im restoring an 87 formula and i was wondering where the best place to get weatherstripping is.

the best ive found so far is for $200 here http://166.82.96.9/xframes.html

I suppose the 'best' place to get it would be the 'cheapest' place. It depends on what pieces of weatherstripping you want to get. Are you going to do the whole car or just a specific area (like around the back hatch, windows, t-tops if you have them)? If you are doing a lot (like the whole t-top area), you can buy a 'kit' that has all the pieces in it and that should be cheaper than buying individual pieces.

Not sure if you checked but investigate Hawks, Third Gen Resource & Classic Industries.

If the car has T tops, you can figure on around $400 for a complete set, $250-$300 for a hardtop.

thx for the replies guys. its hardtop and im getting it repainted so im replacing all the weatherstripping parts i can to get the best paint job. i was recommended to go to that steelrubber place......so i was just wondering if there were any better local places (TX). thx for the info.

GM has discontinued the parts.

If you can find 'em, I'd buy 'em.

they should still be out there, but not for long.
