Bogus Camaro on Ebay

I was browsing e-bay motors the other day when I came across a 1992 camaro that was adertised 25th Anniversary Heritage Edition Z28 IROC-Z. I probably would not have been too alarmed if it had not been for the IROC-Z part. On viewing the web page I was further disturbed by the single distant photo of the drivers side of the car as well as the description under it which goes:
This is a 1992 25th Anniversary Heritage Edition Z28 IROC-Z. Wow thats a mouthful but thats what this car is. It also has the B4C Police Package on it.
This is a very special edition car they only made 500 of these and they are VERY rare most people have not even heard of the 1992 IROC's They where Special edition on the LAST Year of the F-Body I cant even tell you how rare this car is or how nice it looks. The Moter in it is the 5.7 LT1 This car is VERY VERY FAST and also this car have very low insurance because it is a 25th Anniversary edition I dont know why but it is cheaper on insurance for some reason.
Im new and Im not sure how to post a link maybe someone can help me out and prove that this is :BS:
Thanks-

His whole add is bogus!! And yes welcome to the boards. In the "Description" area it show a 5.OL V8, yet he claims it has a LT1 which is a 5.7 and a totally different engine. He says new "Moter" installed 98,000 miles ago , but no pics of the LT1?? Mean while the VIN show it with a 350 L98. This guy really hasn't a clue who he trying to fool. Mostly himself by the looks of it.

Here, copy and paste the VIN# here in this link. ( 1G1FP238XNL121426 )

the sadest part is it has 4 bids on it.

OK Some people are uneducated about Camaro's and other people are just retarded. Not sure what this guy is. But judging between VIN and the picture, it is probably a B4C camaro and I am pretty sure all the '92 B4C came with LE1 package. So for $4000 the car is worth it.

Just speculation, Later, Garrett

Thanks for the replies. I have investigated this further and would like to point out several things. First, if this was a Z28 it would have the exclusive 91-92 5 in. high rise spoiler as well as the Z28 hood. As far as I can tell it has neither. Furthermore, on using a zoom feature on my computer it appears that it has the RS standard grill, not the Z28 grill with fog lights. Also, the badge on the side of the car is missing. Second, it is definitly not an IROC-Z since the last year of this production was 1990. Third, if it was a Heritage Edition it would have the Heritage stripes as well as a body-colored grill. Fourth, although it could be a B4C with an RS body it can't be a Z28 B4C, since it does not have the 16 in. black GTA rims that came with the car. Finally, this is a E-Bay user who has absolutely no feedback, only one distant picture of the car, and makes unwarranted claims regarding the insurance rate on such an "extremely rare" car. It is my opinion that the winning bidder will be lucky to receive a 1992 Camaro Rs, if he receives anything at all. To conclude, the bid for this car is already at $4000.00 with six days left in the auction.

The vin no. indicates that the car has or had an L98 350 in it. Therefor the car would have to be a B4C RS. The guy should advertise it as such, those cars are desirable.

Why he had to put all that other BS in the ad is anyones guess.

But if he won't receive just any old RS, It is an RS body But it has the Z/28 Performance undernieth (B4C). I would be almost 100% positive this is a '92 B4C Camaro.

The production sequence is over 121 thousand, so how rare can it be?? All B.S. IMHO this guy is a joke, and probably has no car at all.

The other thing I noticed, is that he claims it to have the Heritage Edition Silver seats, yet the seatbelt there appears to be Burgandy??? Oh well I would NEVER buy a car off ebay anyway, and I suggest the most do the same, unless you go see it before buying.

Out of those 121,000 or so, very few of them happened to be made with the B4C police package. I bought my 2000 Z28 off of ebay and I couldn't have been happier with the deal I got and the shape the car was in, etc. Anyways, his claims are bogus obviously. You just have to do a little reasearch before buying such a thing. B4C racing camS would be a dead give away, lol.

No the production sequence isn't over 121,000 it's over 21,000. The Vin decoded is wrong. The first car off the assembly line in 1992 had the last six digits 100,001. Plus there were only 70,007 Camaros produced in 1992.
