Does anybody know what month or better yet what day they stopped pumping out 3rd gens back in 92? Or even a last known production sequence number for the 92 cars? I'm asking bacause I have a 92 Z28 that was built 6/92. The production sequence # is 153230. I know that the 92 model year was cut short to introduce the 4th gens early, so I was wondering how close to the end of prodution this car is. Since the Z28 production is only like 8% of total camaro production, this could be toward one of the last 3rd gen Z28's built? Maybe? Any info would help. Thanks!

 

I believe that Van Nuys production ended in August somewhere between the 24th and the 27th of 1992. I'm sure someone will verify the exact date.

 

The camaro and bird must use different sequence numbers. My TA was built in 2/92 and is #213292.

 

My 1992 Z28 has a production sequence of 159923. Built in July '92. I'll keep her indefinitely, a great car, fun to drive.

I guess there is a guy here in Des Moines that owns the last thirdgen maro made. I have heard that it's a red z28...but that's all I know. I'll try to find out more info on it.
