Where oh where has my RPO list gone....
Maybe some of you all can help me out with this one - can't find my RPO code list on my car. The first thing I went for when I first looked at it to buy it was the RPO code list in the center console glove box - not there. Can't find it anywhere.
Can you think of any reasons why it would be missing/
What can I do to get the original RPO codes for my car? Anybody I should contact?
Thanks in advance for any help,
K

If ya kind fine it anywhere.. stop by your local Chev dealer, at the parts/service dept. and take along your VIN .. they can bring it up on the PC, and print out all the RPO's..

I called the local pontiac dealer by my house, Grand Pontiac here in Denver. And ask them if they could get my codes for my 88 formy. He told me that he could only get them for 1990 and up. He took my vin and ran it anyway and said he got nothing. I tried Burt Pontiac/GMC and they said the samething. So, if Pontiac or Chevy doesn't put them on file somewhere I guess we are screwed.

Strange that you could not get it.. I guess up here in Canada they keep that sort of info farther back.. My friend got it for his 87 IROC.. and I did for my 89 RS. Send me a PM, with your VIN.. I wonder if I can look it up here..
GM in the US deleted all the pre- 1990 Vin files from their system.
So forget about getting the RPO codes from the dealer. The same with parts for 3rd gen cars.

So we are completly hosed then if there is no original RPO code list?
As for phs-online.com - isn't that just Pontiacs?
I'm a little aggravated by this - I probably would not have even bought the car if I had known this. The whole intention with this car was to have documentation for authenticity down the road when they get to be worth something. ARRRRGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!
I can't believe that there are no other options to get an original RPO code list for these cars..................
