1991 Gta

Hey everyone,
I was driving aimlessly today and spotted a Black 1991 Pontiac GTA, I went in and checked it out, 71000 origional Kilometers, $8900, T Tops, 5 speed, 305. What do you guys think? It was absolutally gorgous, tinted, amazingly mint condition, cd player, oh it was beautiful. Is that a good price for this car or should I try for less? Also, any information about the car I Should know?

that seems a little high for that car, but it all depends what you think it is worth. i would not pay over 7500. canadian dollars. (that works out ot about 4800 US)

A 1991 GTA with that low of mileage will easily get 10K canadian if it is in orignal condition. What the American folk forget is that it equates to roughly 42K miles. That car for that price if in original condition is a good purchase. Just make sure you verify condition with someone who knows GTA's if you are unsure.

Actaully after thinking more i would pay closer to 6,500 us, but still i may be worth more but its just i dont see the reason to spend that much since i would most likely start modding it right away.

I paid 5,800 us dollars for my formula with 62,000 miles

thats 91 gta sound great and all but doenst have a 350 it has the 305 tpi which isnt bad at all with a 5 speed, i just prefer 350 / auto combo's.

GTA's in good condition are getting hard to find especailly 91-92's...

you do releize that this GTA could be an export model...with DRL's and a kilometer speedo...

very very very few came with DRL's.....
check the RPO's on that ride if you can...

i only payed 3 grand for my 36,000 mile (then) mint 91 GTA G92 LB9...

ill for sure check the rpos, and yeah it has the kilometer speedo. As for the 350 comment, ive been looking for a 305/5 speed combo, Ive had nothing but auto cars so this will be a fun change, granted i'll want more power but thats what modding is for

Go For it! Plus, that'll make it extremely easy later down the line to convert to a T-56 tranny, then buy a 350 block, build it up, and swap it out. You'd have a 28 spline axle already so there would be plenty of good rears to buy. Plus, T-Tops!!!! That car has everything and is begging to be easily made much more powerful.

I'd buy it for that price, no questions asked unless you find a ton of rust.

I would pay for it if it was in great looking condition. I bought my '91 white 350 in October of '96 for 7200.00 from a dealer, car was GREAT in and out and had about 62000. Last year I bought a red '91 MINT, MINT, MINT! Nobody lisyened to me until they saw it, original owner had it sitting as a collector, had 8900 miles, and evrything was like showroom. I pai 9000.00 and worth every penny! If I found another like that I would do it again until I have 5 '91-'92 Formulas' in my driveway! Andy

when u check for the RPO's look for R6P and GU6....if youve got those 2, then when drivin like it should be youll will take down any stock L98 car...i personally cant remember how many times ive done it...i remember this one time a guy in a 91 L98 formy raced me....after i pulled him to 80 we got up to the next light and he was like "you got a 5 speed in that" i said "yea" he was like "damn son you hate that MF'er dont you"....i kinda laughed..
These cars drivin like they should be can be a wake up call for cocky LT1's and L98's...after modding starts though, the 305 will start fadding away.
