i found an 83 TA at one of my customer's used car lots today.

i suspect it to be an L69 (believe the 8th digit was a "7")

i've looked through the tech data here at tgo, and i haven't been able to find any production numbers for an 83 L69 in a TA.

any ideas?

From what I know

1983 L69: 662 made, all 5 speeds
1984 L69 automatic Trans Am: 18,037
1984 L69 manual Trans Am: 7,051

When you order a PHS kit it will give you these sort of breakdowns. I also use George Scala's book for quick reference too, "Pontiac Firebird 1967-2000 Photo History"

A friend of mine has an 83 L69 T/A. Blue w/ black trim, and blue interior w/ power L/S seats.

I love that thing :drool:

Also, I agree w/ the 662 number.
