Value: 1990 IROC vert
I'm going to look at a 90 IROC convertable tomorrow morning. It's a 305/T5 with about 140,000 miles. The owner says the engine was rebuilt at about 110,000 and has recently had new brakes all around. The top has been replaced at some point, and has a glass back window instead of plastic. Other than that I don't know much yet. Given the unknown overall condition what do you guys think a fair price range on this would be?

My guestimate will be around the 4,000 dollar range. Due to its a 1990 (last year of the IROC and not as many produced) And also its a Vert. But that just my guess

Depends on condition. Even mint I wouldn't want to pay more than $4,500/$5,000 for a 140,000 mile car.

sweet, Goodluck man
Well I just got back. It's pretty clean. It's got the usual damage in the driver seat bolster area, but the rest looks really good. I plugged in my X-ray and it's not throwing any codes. I drove it on the local highway and it drives and handles good. The engine bay is spotless. Paint is pretty good with a couple minor chips in a few places, but no rust. The T5 shifts fine. His originally asking price was $7500 which was way out of line. I'm sure he knew this, but you've got to start somewhere. After going back and forth a bit we landed at $5750. That's probably about $500 more than I can justify it being worth, but I'm gonna do it anyway. I've been wanting a 90 IROC vert with a stick shift for quite some time, and they aren't easy to come by. I figure I'll eat the extra money in order to end the search. The guy did have a long list of **** he's recently done to it which more than makes up for the extra money such as brand new clutch, new tires, new cat back exhaust, blah blah blah. So now I've got to visit my bank and see how I'm going to swing paying for it.

Sounds like a decent price to me. In Michigan that car would probably go for closer to the original price after the negotiating. That assumes it would be rust free (from AZ I'm sure it is).
Enjoy the ride........

yes very good find. I would die for 1990 Iroc. 5750 aint that bad. It depends on how much your willin to pay for, thats all matters. Post some pics, congrats and goodluck
The entire car was repainted at some point. It's a pretty good job, but it appears to be several years old. There are some chips here and there that I will have to touch up, and at some point I'll get the buckets painted black. Although I'll probably do them gloss black instead of the factory satin type finish since I like that better. I did the louvers and buckets in gloss on another Camaro and it looks so much better.
