Transmission: 700-R4

First year for CD Player

What was the first year in which Chevy offered a factory cd player in the camaro? I'm guessing that my 88 maro did not have any option for a cd player...

It was 1989 for the Firebird... probably the same for the Chevy guys and gals....

I read a book at barnes and noble that said the 87 GTA had the option, but then again it also said the L98 is only 200 HP

Actually, the CD was not a GTA option in 1987.... and the L98 was rated at 210 hp in the Firebird, not 200....
