Gold edition camaro????

Is there such a thing as a “gold edition Camaro”? The other day some chick at the mall tried to tell me she had one. I did a search and came up with nothing. Honestly I don’t think there is I have spent countless hours on this site and have never ever heard of one. The thing that sux so much about this is that I was so dumfounded about what she was telling me I forgot to get her number. Dam it I gotta stop letting the girls with 3rd gens get away.

THe "Gold Edition" I would suspect would be like the IROC that has the GOld wheels, and a Gold stripe instead of the silver. I have seen Black and Gold camaros (I always liked the comination personally)

Although I have never heard it referred to as a Gold Edition. Like the Trans Am's.

And yes, if she was hot you definately need to get your head on straight.

The gold edition refers to the accenting that John mentioned. Usually you'll find the Black/Gold, White/Gold, Red/Gold, Burgandy/Gold or rarely a Blue/Gold. the standard colors were to use silver as an accent so people refer to the Gold accent as "Gold Edition"

Man, if you're more worried about her car than her number, you've got some serious priority issues, buddy.

Women, more important then my car???? Ur crazy lol. Yea I would have gotten her number but she was working and another customer came in, so I lost my chance. The only reason she saw my car was because she worked at us cellular and I had a pic of my car on my phone. O well I can always go back when she’s working 2 get her number…

This is wut I don’t get however she said her car was an 84 just like mine and okfoz said that this option only came on irocs. Mayb she just miss spoke on how old her car was idk.

Again, the standard was silver for accenting. There was a black and gold in 82-84. Not seen very much, but it was there. Gold GFX, Gold striping and tan interior. The gold package was usually found on high option cars so the interior would be upgraded seats and fabrics.

Read it again, It was on cars LIKE the IROC that had gold stripes, it does not exclude the Z28, it was an example.

Well thanks 4 the info guys….

One more question 4 me, where is the gold stripe at? Can some one post a pic of this stripe? So I can see it.

On a side note if I were really trying to pic this chick up I probly would have been talking to her about my 99 eclipse. I can pic up 20 times the girls in that car then I even could with my camaro.

It's near the bottom of the car, between the body color, and where the silver stripe would be on a Z-28.

http://imageevent.com/ls1z28/1990irocz

f1ls1 built that car. It shows the lower striping in the earlier stock pics before he painted it. Tell your girlfriend they're not overly rare, however. There's an older Z28 a few blocks from my house with that same scheme.

She could also have a Berlinetta which came with the gold accent aluminum wheels and usually gold lower body stripes,at least those are the most common ones I've seen.My '83 Z28 has the gold lower stripes, body color is 59 beige, and most probably came with the gold 15X7 wheels to match the lower stripe(I hope to get a set of wheels someday even if they have to be painted).

Dude...not to underestimate you, but I don't know if you know "the tricks"...so don't take offense.

Since it's been about 4 days, now's a good time. Walk back in, stare her right in the eyes like she's the only person in the room. Have a SHORT 2 minute conversation about nothing at all and then tell her how great of company you are and how you two need to get together. If another customer comes in...this is your time. Blow them off until your done. As long as you don't spaz out and she's not crazy, you're IN!

Chicks who dig cars are cool.

Honestly I don’t care about the girl any more. I don’t have a reason to even go back to the store. I just want to learn more about this gold edition camaro. Those tail lights are way sweet by the way did they ever come in silver just like that. Keep the information coming guys.

Hey if I ever do meet her again im sure gonna Know alot about her car.

I have a black 87 z28 with the iroc package. It has the gold rims and gold z28 emblems. All the stripes are gone do to the repaint it had before I got it. I wish it was silver because I don't care for gold. But it dose go good with the tan leather inside the car. That's my guess why it has the gold stuff insted of the silver. Because it looks right with the interior. Adam :-)

eh, my gf says stuff all the time about how "you love your car more than you love me!!" well I just replied with "Then how come I'm selling her?" and she says "Yeah but you're just buying another thirdgen and you'll love that MORE than the TA!"

Can't argue with the truth - I will love it more. Although women seem to flip out if I spend lots of money on my car and hardly any on them.

Re: Gold edition camaro????

That is really sharp! some 17" GTA Gold wheels might look really killer IMHO, but you would probably have to paint them the Champaign color instead of leaving them gold as the 88+ Gold seems like it is more Gold, and the 82-87 I think was technically Champaign (Firebird name).
