Rear wheel spacers???????

My 91RS has a spacer in the left rear wheel but not the right. Its about a 1/4" thick and slides on the studs. Is there supposed to be one on the right? What is its purpose. Oh yeah, its marked "rear" on it. Thank you guys!!!!

sounds like you are missing one. do you have the 16 in tire? I have one on each side. They are both the same, so you might get one at a junkyard of thirdgenparts.com

those are the spacers for 16 inch wheels with rear drum brakes. I had to get them for my 89 firebird when i got my WS.6 wheels (16 inch) and i got them for 28$ a pair from the gm dealer. No big deal if u run w out them ur offset will be 1/8 inch off on either side out back but no rubbing at all-MIke

if u have 16 inch wheels and rear drum brakes u need them. It is a 1/8 spacer on each side. Again u do not need them but factory recomends them so i would advise u put them there.

o and the purpose was to match the off set of the front wheels. If u look at the fronts compared to the backs the backs sit in a bit more than the fronts so the purpose is to even the rear with the front
