How many 90 Irocs were made?
How many 90 Irocs were made?
Do any of you guys know? Pontiac makes it pretty easy to get production figures , but I'm having trouble on the Z . Mine is 90/ 5.7/G92 , no t-tops , loaded , base interior w/ pw.seat(go figure) . Do any of you know how many were made in that configuration.
Thanx for any responses , nice board BTW

According to the Camaro White Book, they made 4,213 IROC-Z coupes. 2,415 were made with the 5.7L engine. 2,710 had the G92 option. Those are individual, un-related numbers. Cross referencing them becomes harder. So you can at least say that your car is one of 2,415.

Just a little info on the '90 IROC's, when you ordered the RPO B2L package (5.7 tpi) you were required to get the Auto trans, G92 performance axle, and the N96 wheels. the G92 package for '90 included 4-wheel disc brakes, engine oil cooler & dual cats. also '90 was the first year you could not get factory t-tops with the 350, or any G92 car. it's odd that your car has the std interior, most '90's i've seen have the custom int. Chris
the only other 90 iroc i have seen besides mine had cloth interior. mine has cloth interior too. I prefer the cloth. leather is nice and all but in the summer and the winter when the weather is not so nice the cloth is by far better.

Greg,
Is your interior the standard cloth or the optional deluxe cloth? The optional "custom cloth interior" as GM refers to it includes adjustable headrests on the front seats (not the high-back integral), cloth/carpet door panels (not molded plastic), and carpeted center console (sides).

Yeah , when I bought the car I thought it was really wierd that it was loaded but still had the base seats and the drivers side is 6-way power , even stranger . It even came with Factory rear window Louvers , its on the window sticker . Thank god they had been removed though

hey guys i had to get in on this one since i also have the best THIRDGEN IROC made. haha.
and 90 Z28SS i really like that. you just lead me farther and farther on to getting my SS HOOD and painting my car. my car is going in to the shop this summer and coming out no longer red. it will be 1969 HUGGER ORANGE with a black topped SS HOOD-(just the raised section). i cant wait. and i like those convo rims (right?) they add alot to the car. and i am not the only one that took their fog lights off that makes me happy. well thanks everyone and keep up the good work on our RARE MACHINES. under 5,000 TOTAL makes for a good deal on what we have. good luck to all

Rare, have you seen a hugger orange IROC before? I was going to paint mine orange until I saw one in person. That color does not lend itself well to the shape of our cars. I hated it. Anyway, if you do decide on hugger orange, check out the hugger orange offered in 98-99. It's a much nicer color than the old school color.

There's a lot of debate over the t-top option, but there are a few guys here with stock 90 L98 t-top equipped cars.
I'd love to provide the pic of the orange car, but it's burried in a pile at home somewhere, and I don't think i've ever scanned it.

just to be absolutely sure, I am going to ask my dad to take a pic of my RPO code sheet in the center console and email it to me since my car is at his house right now. Then I will post it.
I dont think I ever actually checked the list, but I don't think anyone would spend the kinda money it would cost to put aftermarket t-tops on my car and then let the paint get all faded and the nose messed up and what not and drive around on bald remington tires...
But you never know

It is in florida, I called the guy to see if he would give me the vin so i could get a printout on it, but he already sold it, maybe if anyone on this board lives in the area with area code 941 they have seen it. anyway here is a crappy pic...
