as you know gm discontinued irocs in 90. a guy here in fla. is selling his 1990 IROC-Z CONVERTABLE for 6 grand........how rare is it and how much is it actually worth(cause i've seen peeps trying to sell 91 V6 RS's for that much)

I don't know about you but I guess the real question is "how much is this car really worth to you?" as regardless of price you will be the one owning it (and hopefully liking it). It is generally accepted that there are two standards for pricing these cars - the Kelly Blue Book used by dealers on trades and people who just want a car whom as a seller you want to avoid and the people who appreciate and will pay for the experience of owning a 3rd gen that will pay higher. You won't likely get the money you paid for it back, you usually pay higher insurance rates etc... so you might as well cost it as is ownership of that car (assuming it is in good condition mechanically and cosmetically) what suits your taste.

I am sorry to be vague but I am not an appraiser and it really takes two to make a sale at any price

hey dude as the proud owner of a 1990 iroc. i would buy that car as fast as possible. if it a 350 even faster, or even a 305/5spd, i would jump on that even faster, and tell me a little about the car so i can help you get a deal.
check out my sig for how many IROC's were made in 90, i could find out how many convertibles for you if you want.
just post on here and i will do the searching now.

1990 IROC conv? Wicked collectible car! Shortest production year for IROC and the even less opted for conv. go for it. First put the VIN number on here and find out if it is really a 350 car if the guy says it is.

chevy only made irocs from august to dec 31,1989. so it will be worth something.. and if you dont get it. give me that guys #. i want it.

Everyone seems to be forgetting that the 350 was never offered in the convertible...

 

sorry about that typo 305/auto red black top cloth interior: grey and black, well taken care of has like less than 100 thou on it. can't get VIN at moment...ill call him tomm. when i get home from school

If it's in good shape and in good running order then it is easily worth $6k whether you're a fan of these cars or not. I'm too lazy to look up the book value, but i'd bet it's at least in the 7-8k range.
