I was bidding on that car last month. What the seller failed to mention was the theft recovery title. I also had a bad feeling about the front end paint work. Notice there is no bird decal on the front, but every where else looks fine...why would a 25k mile car be missing the decal on the front?
The interior looks great though. And it is a very eye catching color combo.

So what has been reconstructed? The interior. Those DEA boys love tearing apart the inside of a car. On an '82 SE, Maroon interior was only available with the 78 Maroon exterior. Dark Charcoal Metallic exterior only had a Charcoal or Gray interior. The cowl plate lists 18D - Charcoal
SE's didn't have a front bird decal.
Whenever a seller keeps the bidders ID private, don't even bother with it. Even moreso when the seller keeps his own feedback private. Sure the seller says keeping the bidders ID private is for the bidders protection. More like, so the seller can shill bid his own auction and/or keep others from warning bidders that they are going to get screwed. If one would check the stories about this guy on the web, one would steer clear.

That is the first time I have ever seen private feedback. I did not know it was an option! I would not buy anything who is afraid to let people see their feedback.

Thanks guys,
I was thinking of grabing it and putting it in storage for a few years.
But given the history, its worth "0"

Glad I could give you guys a heads up. I passed on it last time around from what I found.
I hate people that try to rip people off by misleading them.
One really has to make sure they cover their own butt these days. Just reading what the description says and/or doesn't say, what any pictures show and/or don't show and the way they are shown, just doesn't cut it anymore. Fortunately this seller is a car dealer. Easy to find out about him. Just use all info given and whatever resources one has available, and one would be surprised what one finds out.
Just the Bidder ID kept "Private" is enough that I don't bother, I don't care who it is, or what their reason for doing it.
The Feedback comments listed as "Private", even more.
Doing a search with this seller info, one finds something very interesting.
L & A dba AP Auto Mall = LoCastro & Associates (doing business as) All-Pro Auto Mall
What comes up is the same LoCastro & Associates & All-Pro Auto Mall along with Pinnacle Business Management that screwed a bunch of investors in a stock scheme.

Certainly not someone I would take a chance on dealing with.
