1LE Questions. PLEASE HELP.
1LE Questions. PLEASE HELP.
Hi I have a 92 1LE with 997 miles on it and I am trying to figure out production #'s on it. I was wondering if there is some where I can look at the break down of Auto's and 5spds. ANd cars with the 25th Ann. Option. It is a 5spd red with the 25th package. I know there were 705 or so built total but that is a much as I can find. Surely the 5spd and 25th are a rare combo HELP. Thanks

Only 59 1LE cars left over in 1992.
705
- 57 Canadian exports
- 589 police cars
= 59.
Cool.

So 59 Actual Z28 1le's. So the break down of 25th and the 5spd should make it a one of very few then shouldn't it? Is there any break down of 5spd 1le's anywhere?

It will be tough to narrow it down anymore. I recall somewhere there was a listing of 5 speed vs. Auto, but with the large portion of 92 1LE's being police, the ratio will be skewed.
Best you can do is find out the ratio of 5 speeds vs. autos, 305 vs. 350's, 25th vs. non 25th and make some estimates.
Mark.

I own a '92 Z28 1LE Heritage Edition car. Mine is also a red 305/5-speed car. I know of four other Heritage 1LE's in addition to mine. Two are white cars and the other two are red cars. All three red cars I know of are 305/5-speed cars. I'm guessing the car you have may be one of them I know of because the mileage is about right. That car was a 305/5-speed as well and was for sale about a year ago. Does your car have a tan interior? The other red Heritage 1LE I know of came from the same dealer as mine. My car and the other car both have black interiors. If your car has a black interior that would be one I don't know of and would mean there's at least six Heritage 1LE's. Either way, they are extremely rare and I think they could eventually prove to be the most valuable thirdgens.

I would imagine that most of the 1LE's would be 5-spd seeing their a race car.
The lesser factor is the 25th anniversairy version.
The 91 1LE R7U have production numbers of something like 39. Again, all were 5spd 305's. Id like to find out how many were arctic white.
