So is that a real one? How can you tell?

Also... why put a new 305 in it? Why not a 350? haha

My guess is the seller bid on it under a different account, or had someone else do it. I bet it doesn't sell at all...definatly not worth 50,000

If it was a real KITT it wouldn't have 14 inch n89's, it'd have 15's
It also wouldn't have a rear view mirror inside the car, the real cars didn't have a rear defroster, and I love the commercial fiberglass season 1 dash with season 3 split rear seats... there are so many other incorrect things on that car it's not even funny.

"real kitt on universal lot yeah...."

i have no doubt that this car's a replica, probably one of Mark's turn-keys, the KITT parts & the interior colors are identical to the ones on his site,

one way to tell an actual universal car..... tons of hackjob BS everywhere. see how clean that scaner is. no way universal did that. also, most of the driveable KITTs had a fake dash, made of one-piece plastic, or a true looking dash (3 dimensional) that did not actulay work (no electronics, or all lights on at once). the dash shots were done out of the car in a studio for the most part.

Look familiar? KITT the first two pics are a different car, but all the other pics look awfully familiar....

also, on another board I visit I noticed somone ran a carfax, the car spent it's whole life in IL, until recently when it went to OK (where the custom builder above is located ) and then to the current FL where the seller is from. it's tires never even touched Hollywood roads...

There's no doubt it's a replica, so either this guys been handed a load of
by the guy who sold it to him, or he's handing ebay buyers a load of either way, no body's will buy it for the price he's asking.

Oh theres A LOT more than that to know about this car. I used to have a full KR replica years back. I have quite a load of information on these vehicles, and what is correct/accurate from season to season, and what isnt.

car didn't sell...I knew it wouldn't. It's relisted though with a $45,500 starting bid and buy it now for $49,999

Here is what they added:

"DUE TO OVERWHELMING INTEREST IN THIS CAR. WE ARE RE-LISTING KITT... THE LAST TIME WE LISTED THIS CAR, WE GOT OVER 5,000 VIEWS, WERE ON 150 WATCH LISTS, RECEIVED COUNTLESS EMAILS, AND YET NO BUYERS...OUR MISFORTUNE IS YOUR GAIN, WE ARE NOW LOWERING THE PRICE OF KITT...THIS IS YOUR LUCKY DAY...THIS IS ALSO YOUR LAST CHANCE FOR A VERY UNIQUE CAR...KITT- KNIGHT RIDER"

I bet it doesn't sell for a second time...
