Very nice work to see a B4C for what they were intended.I can only imagine how hard it would be to do a restoration like that.

Is the car for show only? Is it legal to drive on the street? The restoration looks real good.

Some details about my car:

Yes, it is legal to drive on the streets, but the lights must be covered, decals must be covered and "OUT OF SERVICE" must be placed in the windows. Plus, it must be driven only to shows, no where else. The laws are very strict in California, but if you follow, them your safe.
Okay I can understand covering decals, lights covered ect BUT then you can only drive to shows? Thats BS. Can't take it for gas, car wash--or to a mechanic? Sounds fishy to me.

Sweet car BTW

I got most of my equipment used form ex chp cars and just spent a lot of time bringing them back. I have done everything myself aside from the black and white paint job, but as far as electronics( lights siren radios), decals, and mechanical stuff, its all been done by yours truly. A lot of hard work, but definitely well worth it. Thanks for the feedback.
Ah I see. Sort of like some insurance polices for collector cars--there are some limits to their use. My old 74 Formula--I could not drive to work. Most traffic accidents during daily commutes.

Hopefully before Ripon. If we play our cards right there could be at least 3-4 1992's there and my buddy will come up with his 2002 by then. Do you plan to go to that show?

Car: too many ...
After reading through this thread I'm not sure if I can consider what I'm doing to my B4C a restoration or not. You guys are taking it all the way. When I got my B4C the old police stuff had been stripped and the car was in need of TLC. My goal was to restore it back to how it was from the factory, I guess how it would have been before the State Police got ahold of it. But I never considered restoring it to the point that you guys are doing. I'm not sure, would it be worth more?

How did you come by original style police/service car decals though?

From the sounds of it, it looks like to me that he might be a law enforcement officer, which would probably make it easier to obtain those stickers.

You list a 5 speed auto in the side bar. How'd you get a 5 speed auto? 5 and 6 gear manuals, sure...But I haven't seen a 5 speed auto, unless it has a Gear Vendors Overdrive on it. Then it's like 8 gears.
