Hey Guys.. i just picked up a sweet set of GTA seats. There out a 87 GTA Black on black car. looked at the build sheet. I love the seats only seen one set of others like these in black cloth.

The thing i havent seen is a set like the rears. They have a built in head rest, and there the split style. Anyone ever seen a set like these before?

I know more about the IROCs just wondering how rare these are? And if anyone knows what the option code is for them?

If your new rear seats have a headrest built into the upper cushion, they're not out of an '87 GTA. They're out of an '88 GTA Notchback; the '88 Notchbacks and the '89 20th T/A were the only two cars to use that style of S/B rear seat.

Black cloth is the rarest cloth seat for that year, though.... good haul.

Notchback uhh...I will do some searches for them and see if i can find some interior shots.

There in really good shape for the year. Ive only found two small holes in them. IM in the process of restoring them so to speak. Painting the tracks and cleaning them up greasing what needs it.

The 89 20th Ta cars that was the turbo cars right?

Heres a quick pic i took of them you can see the headrest in the back. I love the material there made of. And there black so they will go good with my black interior. IM giving up a near mint set of 4th gen graphite leather seats for these.

 

Those are definitely 1988 GTA Notchback rear seats. 1989 Turbo Trans AM came in 'tan' color only, to my knowledge.

Very rare back seats. Take good care of them!

 

I gave 300.00 for the seats, and i got the wire harness. That goes between the seats, as well. All the way to the plug, so it should be an easy install.

The guy i bought them from thought they were rare as well but i dont think he knew they were from a Notchback either.

Jim..yeah knowing how rare they are now, im going to take my time and bring them back as close to new as i can before i install them. The fabric cleaned up great like new really just two very small holes that need fixing. I might take them to a local interior place by me to see what they suggest how to repair them.

 

Make sure your hatch glass is tinted so those don't turn purple!!!
