When I'm looking through the info about the 350's in iroc's there are a couple years with an asteriks next to it that says only 50-75 were made, what happened to those cars were they ever actually released or just trashed?

Re: Iroc-z
my camaro which is a 86 has a 350
My Camaro which is a 83 had a 400 for about 12 years; didn't come with that either.
As stated, the handful of 86 350 "test cars" were never released to the public. Would have been illegal: that combo wasn't emissions-certified at that time. GM would have ended up in federal court paying some unimaginably enormous fine.
But of course, that doesn't prevent someone else from coming along and putting a 350 (or a 400) in one LATER.

A 350 was 5.7 not 5.0, your 86 is a 305, very minimal differences visually from a 305 and a 350, many assume that they have a 350 by just looking at it. Go to Carfax and run your VIN again and see if it brings up 5.7 or 5.0, I bet it will say 5.0. Just my 2 cents.
