Yup, 124K or even 224K. I had an all original '86 with 155K that looked nicer than that car.

Whenever someone posts a low mileage thirdgen for sale, nearly everyone who posts a response acts like he's on a mission to prove it's a fake, never believing it, always critisizing it, regardless of how much real evidence points to it being legit. BUT... in this case, I agree, something definitely seems very wrong.
The leather is wearing off of the e-brake handle very badly; the driver's seat seems extremely dirty and worn; the front gfx is badly scraped up; and the front tires look bald on the edge.
If this car really has only 24,321 miles, then those were some VERY ROUGH miles!
So yeah, I doubt its authenticity, too. But it looks like it's in good shape for a car with 124,321 miles, or especially one that has 224,321.
One thing is accurate, at least... it's really one of the lesser built '85 HO cars.

Fact of the matter is, that car is 23 years old, and in most states, is only 2 years away from being an "official" antique!!! It just makes us all look like some kind of idiots if we treat it like its 23 years of existence shouldn't have left any kind of mark.
I agree totally, that car has probably 124k miles, not 24k; so what. CarFax is USELESS for cars that old anyway, wrong tool to try to use (might as well try to use a hammer to turn a bolt), they haven't been keeping that data for long enough, it could easily have got 100,000 miles on it before THE FIRST TIME it ever entered any kind of database that records mileage. Regardless, there it sits, it is what it is, the condition is right there for all the world to see. It's an old car. Get over it. You want it, or not? If you want it, buy it. If you don't, let someone else buy it. No need in criticizing everything.
I also agree, while it's definitely an old car and has seen plenty of use, it's not in too bad of shape. How hard is it to find a parking brake handle anyway? How big of a deal is that??? I've seen FAR FAR worse, with FAR fewer years and/or miles on it. For $2000-2500, that probably wouldn't be too bad of a car for somebody, if it hasn't been wrecked or anything like that. If it has been, it might make a damn good parts car.
