Decoding GTA production number

Hi all, I am a new member here at Third Gen but have had quite a few of these cars in previous years. I have recently decided to pick up another car that was to good a deal to pass up. I bought a 1991 Trans Am GTA and it is the only one around I have seen this color other than the Formula's of the year so I am trying to figure out how many were this color with these options. It is a dark metallic green hardtop with a tan cloth interior fully loaded minus the deluxe overhead console. It is a 5.7 TPI with the dual cat setup, aluminum driveshaft and rear disc (9 bolt if I remember). The car is all original and still cleans up quite well. The engine is tired and has the usual worn valve stem seals so it smokes on startup and has now developed an intake manifold leak. I have bought two engines, one being a stock 1990 350 4 bolt out of a GMC truck and bought a Scat crank for a 383 setup as well as a cam but havent decided if I am going to go high compression or lower. After I had purchased this I had gotten a great deal on a LS-1 out of a 1998 Corvette but am hesitant to go the LS-1 route since the car is very clean and I do not want to tamper with the engine cradle, subframe or original wiring harness but if it is a usual run of the mill GTA and theres a lot of these cars with this combo around I will go the LS-1 route if not I will just go the mild 383. I am not looking to make a track car out of this car by any means I just want a little more power while retaining an all stock appearance. So if anyone can help with production numbers on this combo please drop a line it would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Decoding GTA production number

from the gtasourcepage.com (thanks frankie rider2)
for the 1991 GTA only:
2035 GTA's
508 Green GTA's in 1991
808 Beechwood Interiors
1,321 L98 (5.7 Engines)
1,853 JG1 -- Shaft, Propeller (Aluminum)

The Overhead console was dropped after 1988
The 9 Bolt axel was dropped in 1990
The Dual cats would have been standard with the 5.7L

Does it have T-tops?

When did 91 GTA 350s have a t-top option? I thought it was only the Formys that got that.

I own one of the other 1991 GTAs that was Green w/ a Beachwood interior, but it is a 305 AT w/ t-tops. Not that it tells you anything except that it isn't one of 508 at most it is one of 507

I wasn't exactly sure, I thought it was 1988 with the exit of the digital dash. Good to know.

Officially they did not. I have seen two 1991 GTAs in my life that had the two options and the corresponding RPO codes on the same car.

Med Grn Metallic '91 GTA here. L 98. Beechwood.

This was actually the most popular exterior GTA color for 1991 if I recall correctly.

Honestly, I don't recall. I wasn't looking at that part of it and so I did not check for the "Canadian" codes. I didn't even know of the Canadian availability back then.
