HELP: 88 Iroc-Z Door Decal Placement

Ok, let me start of by saying that I have just spent about an hour searching this board to find the answer to this question with no definitive answer. If someone can find the answer from a previous post, give me that direct link.

I am applying replacement Iroc door decals to my 88 that I purchased from Phoenix Graphics. The decals are marked from the end of the door where they go, but not how high above the ground effects. I know there is not one correct location on these as they seemed to vary from the factory, but I want to see where people have them on their original 88-90 Iroc's. I am looking for the distance from the top of the door ground effect to the bottom of the letters or the bottom of the body side moulding to the top of the Iroc letters on the decal. Good quality pics of original ones would also be VERY helpful!! My car doesnt have the body stripe now nor am I sure I am going to put it on, so I want to make sure that if I decide to put that on later that there is not only enough room for it, but that the "Iroc-Z" decal is in the right location also.

Thanks in advance..

I can answer that but since you didn't bother calling me I'm not going to tell you. Oh wait...I do have a message on my phone that might be from you. Well, I'm still not telling.

Maybe I'll call you later.

I'd go out and measure, but I'm not home. Does this help? . . .

That appears to be for the 85-87 Decal locations...really need the 88-90 one...thanks though..if you get a minute if you could measure (or anyone else for that matter) yours, that would be great!!

Re: HELP: 88 Iroc-Z Door Decal Placement

I tell ya, new guys need to learn to SEARCH! Just kidding. (This new guys been here since 02 and has hundreds of posts!! Still a newb!)

I believe the distance up from the top of the rocker is 2-5/8". It should also be about 6-3/8" from the door edge.

This came from a post I found from Willie many year's ago for the front of the door placement. he said the distance from the door edge is the same as the front when applied to back of the doors for 88-90.

Driver's
Horizontal: 6-3/8" from the front leading edge of the door to the lower left corner of the "I".
Vertical: 2-5/8" from the rocker molding to the same corner of the "I".

Passenger's
The same dimensions apply but to the lower right corner of the "Z".

Oh trust me, it was coming, just been pretty busy throwing parts on this car.

Between you and Denny, you guys are just too much...

I am probably going to test out these measurements today or tomorrow...
