Badge question...

There is a 25th Anniversary badge (pictured below) that goes on the deck lid. All '92s had the dash emblem with "25th Anniversary" on it but only some had the deck emblem...

My question is why did some '92 have it and others didn't? Was it supposed to be exclusive to the Heritage Edition? Did it vary between hard-tops & convertibles? RS vs. Z28s?

Any insight on this would be GREATLY appreciated! I've seen it with and without on about every combination you can think of so I am a little confused on this one...

Thanks in advance!

Re: Badge question...

My understanding is that it was only on the Heritage cars. My 1992 Camaro didn't have one on it. If I remember correctly the Z28 had a smaller badge then the RS.

Here is what a search returned:

You are the MAN! I searched for it but couldn't find anything, probably didn't go far enough back - all I kept finding were ones that were for sale...

Let me ask you this:
My car does not have the RPO Z03 however I am strongly considering adding the Heritage Stripes when I paint this spring, should I add this badge as well or not?

I will do a little shaving (antenna & door guards) but am going to keep most of the badges - what are your thoughts on this?

Re: Badge question...

I personally wouldn't, however I think that is a better question to ask in the Appearance and Detailing section... there is never a shortage of opinions there

On the search, try searching just this forum instead of the entire site. I find it easier to find things when I target the area the question was probably asked in.

Re: Badge question...

Just to double up... The badge on the back and the stripes are specific to the Heritage Edition. The dash badge was on every single 1992 Camaro. That's why it's so annoying when someone puts so much emphasis on the 25th Anniversary!!!!!! when they advertise their 3.1 RS Camaro on craigslist or ebay, whatever.
