Id take the 92 but I like the tires on the 86 waaaay better..
Both are just a tad over priced Id say.
I like the autozone battery in the 92 also..

Even with only 900 miles, the AC compressor spews oil on the hood insulation. Are there any that don't leak???

"We continue to believe in clean F3 Camaros as smart investments, and recent trends show the prices of the nicest examples on a steady rise."

They really believe it too because they ask for beyond top dollar for them regularly LOL. Collector car people like this are probably going to be the most responsible for our cars becoming more unreachable as time goes by, just like with the previous Gens.

Agreed. I have friends with 60's and 70's muscle. I too have owned a few older cars (70 1/2 Camaro, 68 Firebird, 70 Charger, 67 Mustang, 73 Convertible Mustang, 68 SS396 Chevelle, 69 Dart and some others) but I like this generation of Camaro much more. The issue is - with all the technology, I would rather get in my 3rd gen on an ultra hot day or cold day then any 60's or 70's car. I have heat and air plus it is such a more comfortable ride. When I start it, I don't hae to sit there with my foot on the pedal trying to get it to start on cold days. I had a 70 Challenger R/T and as cool as it was to look at, it sucked overall. If I would have dumped $45,000 in it then it would still have old technology or not be original.
I like original and comfortabe with better handling and styling. I truly think the 3rd Gen IROC's (some F-Birds) will continue to rise. The IROC had everyone attention back in the day and even my friends 3-4 years older like these cars. They have been asking about this one since we bought it and seem like they are out on the prowl for a deal.....
The IROC will rise and correct originals will go up. I just don't remeber the T/As and Formulas having the same following. Everyone seems to know the acronym - IROC. I know the TTAs have their own following but they still are not the same as a 5.7 IROC.

Re: 902 mile 1986 IROC

True, I feel the same, and about the moderness compared to the 60s/70s cars, I totally agree. I really like 1st Gens, but they feel like primitive cars that just happen to be quick in a straight line. A 3rd Gen feels like a purpose-made performance machine that does everything a sporty car should with more modern comforts. When you think about it, it's really true too. 1st Gens were made in a rushed manner off of the Nova's chassis and our cars were designed over a period of years to be low, wide, and aerodynamic handling machines. It's been said that you don't sit in a 3rd Gen as much as you put one on.

Bingo, they just keep getting higher. More rare, more desireable.

Its a low optioned IROC-Z. In other words, it was a low optioned Z28 and just happened to get the IROC-Z package.
