Cpc Norwood, thanks! I would love to see a picture of the cpc patch when you get the chance. Now I will be able to have a idea on what to look for, thanks!

Cpc Norwood, thank you so much for posting the picture of the patch, you have been such a big help to me! I assume these we're worn on jackets and work shirts both? I assume on the front? I hate to ask you this but do have any extra of these patches or any others that you could sell me? Thanks a bunch!
Re: 2012 Norwood Gathering
The biggest issue for the patch in bulk - was on award jackets. Golf/Polo shirts were also embroidered with the employee's name and CPC stitch work.
Here is a hat with the logo issued for a 145 car.

Wow! This is some amazing stuff, I have never seen the patch or hat before. Thanks so much for sharing, I would Love to have some stuff like this but can't find any on Ebay or any place else. I even try yard sales and estate sales. Do you have any extras or ones maybe you don't want anymore? Willing to pay good price! Thanks!
Re: 2012 Norwood Gathering
It's such a shame that the event shuns anyone not having an exc. condition Norwood car to bring up there. There are a lot of serious F-car fans who would gladly pay to attend this function, myself being one of them. Charging admission to non-invited guests would offset the costs involved & keep the knuckleheads & riff-raff out.
I've collected build sheets & trim tags for years & would love to learn more about the assembly process of these beautiful cars from the people that actually built them. GM build history is a big hobby of mine & I love to routinely dismantle the Camaros & Firebirds I find at the scrapyard before they get crushed*, hunting for stuff.
It sucks not really knowing the inside scoop on things as taking cars apart & scouring the forums to piece together what little I know requires more time than I have. Oh well, hopefully someone can capture the info presented at this event. I'd gladly pay for a copy of that. Any chance on any video coverage being at some point? It's sad knowing that valuable information will eventually pass away with the actual employees. History shouldn't be "members only".
*FYI, I'm the last person to touch these cars before they get loaded into the crusher & the yard will not sell me complete cars....so none of these cars are destroyed by my hand!

Event wrapped up yesterday as a success. Overall attendence peaked at around 1500 in the mid afternoon with roughly 500 early and late. Exhibition area was packed all day and GM personnel were on the look out for the third gen cars too.

Re: 2012 Norwood Gathering
How long has this been going on? I lived next door in Oakley (off Marburg Rd.) during the 2000s and didn't know about these events somehow. Probably can't bring my car down due to free time issues and my wheels would get me disqualified as stock-appearing but it still sounds neat.
Re: 2012 Norwood Gathering
This will be the third year, It is always a great time now that the event has relocated to the garage and out of the weather. There were 1500 retirees there at one time last year.
Lets see some pictures of your car....

Here's some pix. They're old but it looks the same.http://reocities.com/gcrites80s/myiroc.htm
Also, a lot of that historical info on the page is inaccurate but I didn't know that back then. And I can't change the page since Geocities shut down.
