Try this place ClipsAndFasteners.com - Automotive Retainers,Clips and Fasteners
they handle almost everything.the only downfall is,you have to buy in bulk.
The parts book is saying it's a stud,it doesn't list the size or part no.
This is just example.

Does it need to be NOS or perfect? More than likely the most abundant source will be a donor car.
And I don't know who's engine compartment that it, but it's gorgeous.

It's discontinued, but the GM Part Number is 14091545 and has the following description: STUD, CLNT OTLT (3/8-16X25/32)

Use a stud and a flange nut and nobody will ever tell the difference.

The stud in post #5 appears correct. I don't a have an old 70's SBC near by to verify, but my guess is the stat housing bolts on those are also 3/8 course thread so you should be good with that one.

Thanks Lurbie for the part number! Found a Chevy dealer in Michigan who had 4 in stock and I bought all 4.
