Try this place ClipsAndFasteners.com - Automotive Retainers,Clips and Fasteners
they handle almost everything.the only downfall is,you have to buy in bulk.
The parts book is saying it's a stud,it doesn't list the size or part no.

Does it need to be NOS or perfect? More than likely the most abundant source will be a donor car.

Actually I think it is referred to as a stud.

I didn't see it on that site, but I'll sure keep that link for future needs.

It's discontinued, but the GM Part Number is 14091545 and has the following description: STUD, CLNT OTLT (3/8-16X25/32)

The stud in post #5 appears correct. I don't a have an old 70's SBC near by to verify, but my guess is the stat housing bolts on those are also 3/8 course thread so you should be good with that one.
