I should add it is a running car, garaged and the owner says the only thing missing is 2 of the wheel caps. They did list the auction on Craigslist but these types of auctions don't generally get a lot of looks or bids.

Are you a reg. bidder? I was going to bid but asks for a credit car to bid.

For whatever reason, early 3rd Gen Firebirds don't sell well here in KC. Camaro's do better, but get much better prices around the country. I expect, unless several members here bid it up, for it to sell between 3-4k. For those "looking" for a good third gen, watch Omaha, KC, Des Moines and the surrounding areas. Nice ones show up regularly. I never see them on the road, but they do show up on Craigslist.

Bid price is currently $4000 with 1 week to go. I'm glad to see the bid at the top end of my estimate.
Pontiac's don't get a lot of love around KC. This is a Ford town mostly. Big plant here. GM is here as well but Ford is bigger.

 

Very nice car. You can still read the "Automatic Overdrive" on the shiftplate which is usually long worn off by now (not that that's the greatest selling point of the car, lol...).

 

Down to the last 30 hours of bidding. No new bids since last week, still at $4000. 2 bidders did most of the bidding. Last minute bidding can rise fast. But for now, it looks likes someone is going to get a nice ride for a nice price.

Wow. Someone did get a good deal.

 

I'm looking at that and the winning bidder was number 3032,he made the last 7-8 bids,sounds fishy.

 

I think the owner bought it back.
