1988 Firebird Formula WS6, 11900

Found this one on the internet. Dont know a lot about the formula's but it seems like a reasonable price being Canadian Dollars. If anyone is interested that lives a good distance away let me know and I may be able to go take a look for you.

Saw that one on Kijiji up here in Canada before. These are better deals : all in Canadian dollars.

What makes them better deals? All of them have a minimum of double the original mileage of the Formula. I'd rather pay more for the Formula over these other cars.

Personally if I'm looking for a museum piece to store away or drive with very limited miles each year for a good cash return in years to come, then I'd agree with you. Unfortunately I believe these cars are there to be driven and enjoyed at every opportunity. I'd rather buy a car and base it on the condition of the car, if it has the options I want and the price rather than just the really low miles, so I won't be afraid to take it out and add mileage or even a chance to get stone chip lol as lots of people here have already stated having a low mileage doesn't mean big bucks. Especially here in Canada as I've seen some nice 2nd gen for around $15,900 CDN or even some early hard to find 82/83 models for the same money in Canada. Now that doesn't mean if someone really really wanted that car at that price they shouldn't buy it as it all comes down to a personal choice.

The mileage doesn't make the car a museum piece. It makes it more original with less wear and tear. The car will still be tight, the interior is still new, etc. The "higher" mile cars will show more signs of wear. My '82 Z28 only has 29k miles on it, but it has some interior parts that need replacing and even some mechanical issues. The lower the miles, the closer to new.

Also, the Formula is true performance, so I'd rather have that then a Trans Am.

I would agree. Unfortunately, I like the two tone color schemes of the 87-90 Formulas better, but this is a close 2nd for me when it comes to the Firebird side. The interior color of this car will sway my choice to this '91 over the '88, if these were my only two choices at the time.

My favorite IROC-Z color is the blue used in 1989. I also like the interior of the '89. The engine is a toss up as the 350 is the "top dog" so it's more desirable to collectors, but the 305 TPI 5 speed/G92 is probably what I would have ordered, if I was to order the car new.
