How Rare is my car
Has the L98 350 TPI V8.
I know it's 1 out of 1400 but is it possibly more rare?

It's one of 6,913 - traditional 1 of statistics are done by drive line, model and body type.
In 1988 there where 6,913 5.7 GTA's built.

The GTA is good but also bad. Good in that almost all GTAs came nicely equipped. Bad in that there isn't a lot of distinguishing ("rarity") between them. The important options are generally things like the powertrain, and big options like T-Tops or not, etc.

Only "Rare" GTA's IMO are the 87's equipped with either DD9 euro paddle mirrors or the Russet metallic "Brown" paint

It's been mentioned here many times over the years, rare doesn't always equal more value. You could make the claim that the car is one of 1400, but if you really had access to all of the options and information, you'd find you could narrow it down to maybe 1 of 10, but the information that makes it that "rare" is insignificant.
Many years ago, I was on a website that was able to break down the options based on the VIN. It said my 2006 Silverado Z71 was 1 of 17. I found it hard to believe that it was "rare" because it had the same options many other had. What made it rare was a code that showed the shift it was made and something obscure that nobody would ever care about. Once I removed those options, it became 1 of something like 10k.
The value in our cars is not in how many were made, but in the current condition the car is in, and how low are the miles.

And of course, if it has some desirable options. On my GTA, it's one of what I would suspect are VERY FEW once you break down the combo of options. Does it really add value? Who knows, as I am not selling.
