Looks like a non-ASC conversion.

Re: Yellow '87 vert.

The factory ones came only with an LB9 5 speed or LG4 auto in ‘87.

Re: Yellow '87 vert.

This car in particular is fairly rare in that it is an LB9 auto G92. One year only package.

It's an ASC conversion, it just wasn't converted "from the factory". Note also the Special Edition dash badge instead of the map pouch..

Seems a bit rough for the money to me. Scuffs and whatnot in the paint, curvy moldings, and the underside murdered by the Tar Monster from ST:TNG.

Well my first thought was "$18k dollars and they can't even take more than a half dozen pictures?", but then I scrolled down.

Re: Yellow '87 vert.

It’s not a bad car..

I’d offer $12,500..

At least it looks pretty unmodified except for that undercoat or whatever that black overspray is..

I wonder if the rear bumper would need replacing or reshaping with that scrape..

Does the window zip out on that one? That’s neat.

Pretty sure it just needs a new window, or a new top.

$12,500 seems like highway robbery from where I'm standing. That's nearly 70k miles on the clock. Lots of missing bits here and there. "Extra" holes in the door jambs. Busted up door panel or at least the trim. Scuffs, scratches, the undercoating... Maybe if a person has a real hard-on for Yeller, I guess... Unless I'm just really out of touch I don't think it's worth that much. Over $10K I'd expect a virtually perfect car. I think a buyer could afford to be a bit picky with how they spend their money, and find a better example. Maybe not a Yellow 87 Convertible, but something nicer for the same or less money.

Re: Yellow '87 vert.

I guess I didn’t look that close.. I figured it just needed some paint and had a bad undercoating job..

I think those dealers that are trying to get $30k+ for IROCs are subconsciously changing my pricing threshold..

You slapped me back into reality when you said 70k Miles.. sounds so much worse than 65k

Re: Yellow '87 vert.

So is that special edition tag just added under the factory one, & is that a GM thing or a 3rd party company doing the conversion claiming it to be a special edition? With the paint looking as rough as it does in the photo's. you can bet its worse in person. drivers door edge, rear bumper cover, etc.

Cool car because of what it is, but when a person asks such ridiculous money for something, then its fair game to pick it apart. I honestly wouldn't pay 10K for this car unless it had less miles or was in way better condition.

VanGuard thinks that car is overpriced

Re: Yellow '87 vert.

Just noticed how wonky the door moldings looked.. someone didn’t put them back on straight..

I have never seen a yellow vert.. especially 87.. all the 87 Verts I’ve seen were dark red, bright red, or black. And all were 5 speed..

This car does have some uniqueness.. too bad it wasn’t better kept..

Re: Yellow '87 vert.

In this market this car will probably not sell for under $10k even though their asking price is high.. If it was pristine with less miles they’d be asking $25k

I think Vanguard is selling the cars, I wonder what the final sale prices are..

I love this car but damn, $37,000 ??

Re: Yellow '87 vert.

I called about this car the day it posted and it sold at full price before I could buy it. Was searching for it for over a decade and poof gone in less than 48 hours. If you know what this car is the asking price was more than fair. Perhaps one of one ASC convertible in yellow. I'm still bummed.
