1986 iroc please help

i am utterly confused after just buying a 1986 “all original” iroc z. It has 6500 original miles and is documented on CARFAX. The owner bought cars in Cali and stored them in a heated garage. It is close to immaculate. Here’s the question- on my rocker panel I have the “iroc z” badges. The one on the bumper matches in rear. Is it possible the car came this way or do all 86 cars have the z28 badging? Original owner (who I didn’t buy the car from) says he got it from the dealer that way. I’m lost.

1985-1987 has a Z28 emblem. 1988-1990 has an IROC-Z emblem. The one on your car looks funny, though. Probably an aftermarket replacement.

Emblem looks correct...compare to cheap/incorrect "bubbly" reproduction: https://www.ebay.com/itm/82-92-Camar...frcectupt=true

Re: 1986 iroc please help

The emblem does appear to be an original 88-90 emblem, or at least a good repop. The "Z" on the crappy ones is really jacked up. .....but it's definitely not original to the 86. It would have Z28 emblems.
