Ebay, Helm, GM dealers, automobilia dealers, etc.

Search yahoo or ebay, if you can't find a used one you can get a new one from Helm or GM for between $50-100.

Bought mine from Helm.$90, but worth every penny.
Factory manual from (from Helm) is the best.Used ones show up on E-bay.

Illustrated Parts Catalogs are also very helpful with their exploded view drawings and parts listings.

I haven't seen one of the '86 Camaro assembly manuals yet that are available, but if they are anything like the ones I have for my musclecars, that would also be a very useful book to have, even if your thirdgen isn't an 86 or even a Camaro.

A couple years back a vendor at a swap meet here had a ton of GM automobilia... he had assembly manuals for 82, 83, 84, 85, and 86... Did GM print these manuals for anythign after 1986? They were punched for a 3 ring binder, and had blue printing on white background on the cover. If he'd had 87 I would have picked it up.

In April's Super Chevy, page 93, there's an ad for Factory Service & Assembly Manuals: General Motors. List price is $19.95 and $29.95. For more info conact Classic Industries (800 854 1280).

I've got the Helm maual for mine.. it's awesome.. what I really like is having it in a binder.. I can just take out the page I want and have it right at the car.. instead of moving around the whole book.

Try Bishko books. I got my factory service manual from them.
