I'm curious to know if the 91-92 ragtops could be purchased new with the full performance package. Could you get G92 and N10 on the LB9 5 speed cars?

Since I don't feel like tracking down my 91 Camaro brochure I just grabbed the white book and took a browse. In 91 G92 was only available on the Z28 coupe, in 92 it looks to be the same. Either way I've seen a handfull of 91-92 Z28 Convertibles and none had dual cats, or G92, or a 5spd even. Not to say that the 5spd convertible doesn't exist, only that I haven't seen one. I'd research this more fully but as of what I just read I'd say G92 was not available on the 91-92 convertibles.

92 Z28 convts came only two ways.
1. Auto cars got 2:73 posi drum rears
2. 5spd cars got 3:08 posi drum rears
No expections. No 350's, no disc rears.
All came with single cat exhaust systems.
All came with steel driveshafts and steel spare tires.
I have over 125 cars documented of the 1254 92 Z28 converts produced.

Assuming the same for Trans Am Verts, would explain why I have that ****ty steel drive shaft... and that my old rear was a 3.08, not a 2.73... thanks Rob P. Where did ya get that info neways?

I do searches on the internet all the time. Plus, one friend that worked at a dealership sent me a bunch of 92 Z28 convt photo's, and window stickers. Mostly I hunt them one at a time on traderonline.com, classifieds2000.com and other sites.
Plus if I see one on the road I chase them down and talk with the owner.
